Cell Tower progress
 |
| Climbers Larry Penney and Josh Gorham from Wireless Construction in Standish are working this week on the Rice Hill cell tower installing antennas and cable. The 4-member crew is expected to have completed its tasks by week's end. Fairpoint still needs to run a fiber optic cable from Rt. 35 to the tower. |

| The US Cellular electronics building arrived at the Rice Hill cell site Feb. 22. It was brought on a large trailer and then loaded onto a smaller truck, which was pulled to the top using a bucket loader (above). A crane from Cote Crane & Rigging of Auburn hoisted it into place. The project took just two hours. Wireless Construction personnel were on the site again connecting cables to the building and putting the finishing touches on the project. |
