Recycling Compactor Enclosure

Dear Contractor,

Thank you for taking the time to review our drawing package for a structure which will be built to enclose the new Single Stream Recycling Compactor at the Transfer Station shared by the Towns of Waterford, Stoneham and Albany.
The drawings were created by a friend of the Town and are intended for illustrative purposes only. As part of the bidding process you are responsible for determining the sizing and spacing of structural members. Please keep in mind that the building must be capable of withstanding all of the environmental conditions common to this area (wind, snow, rain, etc). You are also responsible for ensuring that the building is constructed in compliance with all applicable building codes.
All bid packages must be sealed and include the following:

  1. Itemized bill of materials (color, size, spacing of materials, etc).
  2. Timeline for completion of the project. Please assume an August 16th start date. The actual start date may vary and will be negotiated with the contractor who is awarded the project. Your plan should also assume that all construction will occur outside of the Transfer Station's normal working hours.
  3. Total cost of construction (labor, materials, other).
  4. Proof of liability insurance.
  5. Three references, preferably from people whom you have completed building projects of similar size and cost. Ideally the references should be for people living in the Albany, Stoneham or Waterford areas.
Bids will be opened at the August 9th Selectmen's meeting. The Selectmen reserve the right to reject all bids.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to review this bid package.
