A third historic mill sign was dedicated Saturday May 25, 2019 on the lawn in front of the 1844 Wesleyan Chapel on Mill Hill Road. This sign, located a short distance away on City Brook, commemorates a long tradition of businesses located at the corner or Sweden and Waterford Roads, including the Stanwood Bucket Factory, Hamlin Sawmill and Hamlin Oil and Electric. Friends of City Brook President Bob Spencer spoke to the fly-swatting gathering.

Watson Mill sign dedicated

DEDICATION MAY 26, 2018 - The second of 10 planned commemorative signs along historic City Brook was dedicated May 26 at the site of the Watson Box Factory and Haynes and Pike Cider Mill on Back Street. The first was dedicated May 2017 at the site of the Hapgood/Hamlin Carding mill on Park Street. Speaking at the dedication were Robert Spencer, left, president of the Friends of City Brook, and David Sanderson.
